Easter wash out

This is my favourite compost for use in the polytunnel, which is where I spent most of my allotment time this wash-out of a long weekend.

I use, in the main, non-peat pots that sit nicely in seed trays. This way I get to reuse the plastic for longer, and move more delicate plants without disturbing the roots.

I do my beans in sturdy seed trays as they don’t seem to mind being handled so much, and save loo rolls for long root veg such as carrot, parsnips and salsify.
