I find March probably the most exiting time of the gardening year, with it’s lengthening days and the heat of the spring sun on the times it puts in an appearance! It is a month of promise, of seeing tiny seeds burst into life and more time outside. The time has finally come to start putting those plans plans laid out in the past couple of months into action. Chitting potatoes, planting the Spring sets of onions, and sowing the seeds for the summer season.
March weather is incredibly changeable so get out on the good days and when the weather is tempestuous, stay in with a warming mug of homemade vegetable soup and sow summer seeds.
